PHOENIX GROUNDS MAINTENANCE LTD
We began operating in the spring of 2020 under the name Phoenix landscaping. Owner Mike Stewart comes from a background in professional property maintenance, from residential properties, to city parks, to golf courses. Beginning In 2004, he started his career in grounds maintenance as a supervisor for a commercial landscaping contractor based out of Langley BC, personally responsible for maintaining as many as 150 city parks throughout the lower mainland. After moving to Gabriola in 2008, Mike took on the role of Golf Course Superintendent at the local golf club where he worked for 12 years, holding a Class A rating with the British Columbia Golf Superintendents Association until retiring from the position in 2020 to focus full time on running the business.
In the fall of 2021 we changed our name to Phoenix Grounds Maintenance to more accurately reflect what we actually do. We currently service both residential and commercial customers on beautiful Gabriola Island, BC.
